Lijkt me een prima manier om het nieuwe jaar in te luiden. Altijd maar diezelfde icoontjes op Twitter, Hyves, Facebook, Linkedin enzovoorts gaan vervelen, en ik kan je verzekeren: zo’n nieuwe avatar werkt verfrissend. Gisteren was ik bij de eerste Nederlandse Poken-meetup (ik schrijf erover op Bright, met video), waar Anne Helmond spontaan onderstaande foto van me maakte. In plaats van schaapachtig in de lens staren besloot ik mijn nieuwe hebbeding te zoenen, en ik vind het nog een aardig plaatje geworden ook. Da’s dus mijn nieuwe avatar, met voorlopig de oude nog in het hoekje, zodat op Twitter mensen die mij van mijn oude usericon kennen niet in verwarring worden gebracht.
Hierbij dus een oproep: verander je avatar op al je sociale websites. Maak vervolgens gelijk een account aan op Gravatar, waarmee op weblogs zoals deze automatisch je avatar worden getoond wanneer je bij het plaatsen van een comment het e-mailadres invult dat je ook bij Gravatar hebt geregistreerd. En laat vervolgens een comment achter, zodat we ‘m allemaal kunnen bekijken :-)

Je favicon is nog niet veranderd!
Goed punt! Heb ik nu gedaan – maar wel met een ander plaatje, een favicon is te klein voor zo’n fotootje.
Ik zie je oude nog, zal wel met mijn cache te maken hebben.
Ja, ik zie zelf mijn oude ook nog, maar hij is echt vervangen: favicon.ico.
